Fossil Creek, Invasive Species Mitigation

Date: 05/22/2025     State: AZ     Issues: Climate, Watersheds, Wildlife     Airport Origin : Cottonwood, AZ

Mission

Aerial tour over the Verde River Valley with Friends of the Verde River, Yavapai-Apache Nation, local business-owners, Wild Arizona, and elected officials, to explore one of Arizona’s most ecologically and culturally significant landscapes from the air.

Our partners at Friends of the Verde River are working to help habitats thrive by mitigating erosion damage, habitat loss, and risks of invasive species like in Fossil Creek.

We hope the flight helped bring to life the breathtaking beauty of the valley and the efforts to safeguard the Verde River’s clean water, wildlife habitat, cultural sites, and recreational access.
