Mission

Give English Language Development students at Basalt High School an opportunity to connect with their backyard landscapes and learn about the Crystal River and Thompson Divide in their first language.

EcoFlight was incredibly proud of these students. Many were worried to fly in a plane for the first time, but the students conquered their fears to see their home in a new perspective while learning about threats of fossil fuel development, water-diversions, and habitat fragmentation. The students learned how they can be a part of the efforts to protect the Crystal River and the Thompson Divide.
