Mission

Provide the aerial perspective to a diverse group of county and city electeds, conservationists, loggers, and other stakeholders to help find consensus on the best management of the Custer Gallatin National Forest.

After decades of conflict over the management of this much-loved landscape, Montanans, let by the Gallatin Forest Partnership, have come together over a shared connection to this landscape to develop a proposal that maintains current recreation access and protects the undeveloped wildlands, clean water, and wildlife habitat everyone values. The Gallatin Forest Partnership aims to create broadly supported recommendations for the Forest Service's revision of the Custer Gallatin forest management plan.

We flew above the gorgeous, remote Gallatin and Madison ranges that offer solace and recreation for visitors and the growing communities of Bozeman, Livingston, Big Sky, and Gardiner. With widespread support from Montanans, our flight partners are working to ensure these lands, that connect the Custer Gallatin National Forest and Yellowstone National Park, remain intact and pristine for wildlife to thrive and the coming generations to enjoy. As some of the wildest places left in the continental US, this area must be managed to protect recreation, the economy, wildlife habitat connectivity, and clean drinking water.
