Mission
Soar above National Roadless Areas in the Klamath-Siskiyou region, with elected leaders to advocate to these changemakers the importance of protecting the 2001 Roadless Rule, which is threatened to be revoked.
We flew above old-growth forests, cut through mountain ridge lines, and traced wild drainages in the Siskiyou range, you glimpsed landscapes often hidden from view.
From above, riparian corridors, sweeping old-growth canopies, rugged peaks, and a mosaic of forests and watersheds define the region. These are places of deep ecological value - supporting aquatic life, wildlife migrations, and native biodiversity unique to the Klamath-Siskiyou. This area includes millions of acres of public forests, inventoried roadless lands, and critical watersheds that are under pressure and direct legislative threats.
Proposed rollbacks to the Roadless Rule, among other protections, risk opening these areas to fragmentation, new roads, and altered land uses - changes that will ripple through watersheds, habitats, and communities.
