Proposed HWY 2 Wildlife Crossings

Airport Origin : Kalispell, MT
Mission
Advocate for the proposed widlife crossing over Highway 2 near Kalispell to promote habitat continuity and surival.
Seeing this landscape from above offers a unique view of how vital and vulnerable these wild corridors are. Highways like U.S. 2 cut through key movement routes for grizzly bears, elk, moose, and countless other species, creating one of Montana’s most dangerous areas for wildlife collisions.
Wildlife crossing structures and fencing can dramatically reduce crashes and reconnect fragmented habitat. EcoFlight’s partners along with local advocates and biologists are working to bring these safe passage projects to Highway 2, supported by strong public backing and new federal funding opportunities.
