Mission
Learn about the work being done to strive for mindful water use practices that prioritize water justice and healthy ecosystems for generations to come, in and around Owens Lake.
From the air, we witnessed the impacts of decades of water diversion from the Owens River by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), and the hopeful signs of restoration taking shape.
In partnership with Friends of the Inyo, we viewed the efforts to reduce water extraction, including a proposed project to fill the canal leading to Owens Lake and other mitigation work near Five Bridges. These initiatives aim to bring life back to the landscape and push for more sustainable water use across the basin.
