Roadless Rule Threatened – Willamette National Forest with Congressmembers

Airport Origin : Eugene, OR
Mission
Fly with Congressional Representatives and their staffers to show the importance of Roadless Areas in the Willamette National Forest, to encourage them to advocate for the 2001 Roadless Rule, as the Trump Administration moves to revoke this important legislation.
Fly over the Willamette National Forest. From the air, the contrast was striking - vast, intact roadless areas standing in sharp relief against the heavily logged landscapes nearby. Roadless lands protect clean drinking water, wildlife habitat, and the natural spaces that sustain our communities, and their value becomes undeniable when seen alongside the scars of development.
As our passengers witnessed firsthand, these landscapes are irreplaceable. If the Roadless Rule is rescinded, millions of acres of public lands across the country could face the same fragmentation and loss we observed on the ground below. EcoFlight is committed to ensuring decision-makers and the public understand what’s at stake.
Thank you to the elected leaders for taking to the skies with us to see what we’re working to protect. Together, we must ensure these landscapes remain whole, resilient, and safeguarded for future generations.
