Mission
To gain support from our country commissioners, local elected leaders, and those running for local positions, we flew over Killer 82, where EcoFlight is working with Roaring Fork Safe Passages and ECO-Resolutions to kickstart the long-overdue effort to construct wildlife crossings, reduce wildlife vehicle collisions, and work with stakeholders to conserve land for wildlife corridors in the Roaring Fork Valley. Studies have shown the implementation of wildlife crossing structures and preserving migration corridors can significantly reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions by 80-90%, creating a safer environment for motorists and wildlife, like deer, elk, bear, and countless smaller critters. With the support of the Environment Foundation, we have flown to analyze wildlife movements, collect video and imagery of herd movement, and discover where wildlife tend to cross the busy highways, with more overflights planned to educate leaders and the public. Thank you for joining us for this overflight and being a part of the conversation to protect our community and wildlife.
